In SAS Visual Statistics, exclusion filters enable you to exclude observations from the model fitting process. In Releases 6.4 and 7.1 of Visual Statistics, excluded observations might incorrectly reappear in the model fit.

The steps that would cause these observations to reappear are:

• Exclude observations from the model
• Make adjustments or other changes to the model being fit
• Exclude more observations from the model
• Save and reopen the project

Upon reopening the project, the excluded observations have returned to the model. There are no errors or warnings to indicate that these observations have returned to the model.

To work around this issue, adjust all of the properties and add all desired variables and filters before assessing model fit and excluding observations from your model.
